Mission Solar is a relatively new solar panel brand, having been founded in 2013. They boast impressive American credentials - they are headquartered in, and assemble their solar panels, in San Antonio Texas.
They have recently improved the product warranty on their panels, from either 10 or 12 years (standard warranties for the industry) to a generous 25-year product warranty. However, their module specifications are also decidedly mid-range, with panel efficiency ratings lagging behind the best panel makers.
Furthermore, Mission Solar’s small shipment volumes and low level of automation raise concerns about whether they can compete with the high-tech solar manufacturing giants going forward. For this reason we have not rated the brand highly for “bankability”.
